About

20+ years. 1 billion downloads. 15+ Fortune 500 clients.

I am Philip Pierce, a senior software developer with over two decades of experience engineering enterprise-level applications across server, web, mobile, and desktop. I write C# and Python in the functional paradigm, and I have shipped systems that millions of people use every day.

My career spans two worlds. In game development, I served as lead developer on Temple Run 2 — one of the most downloaded mobile games in history with over 1 billion downloads — and was contracted directly by Google to build developer demo applications for Project Tango. In enterprise software, I have designed and built critical systems for Boeing (787 Dreamliner inventory management), Verizon (hardware testing facility security), CBS Sports (fantasy football platform), and many others.

I hold certificates from Stanford University in Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Applied Cryptography, and Robotic Car Programming. I have been a licensed console developer across Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms. I have served as technical editor for four published programming books.

Code Ninja Boot Camp

For the past five years, I have run an intensive six-month coding program where I teach C#, Python, Agile, functional programming, SQL, SQL Server, and SQLite. Teaching has sharpened my ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly — a skill that translates directly to engineering teams.
